GATEBALL

Dave Underhill demonstrating how it is done.

GATEBALL:

Gateball, a Japanese counterpart of croquet, began in 1947 in Japan as a way to give youngsters something to do after the war. It involves knocking a ball through a ‘gate,’ similar to croquet. It’s a team game in which one team uses 5 red balls with odd numbers and the other uses 5 white balls with even numbers. A game is limited to 30 minutes and each team traditionally consists of 5 players, but can be consist of any number of players between 1 and 5.
